Ethical Ecosystem

In today’s compliance world, the term “ethical ecosystem” refers to a company’s ethical framework for doing business. At Rio Tinto Energy America (RTEA), our ethical ecosystem is made up of four fundamental systems. These systems are: The Way We Work, the Rio Tinto statement of business practice; the Rio Tinto Health, Safety and Environment Standards; the Rio Tinto Energy America Compliance Program; and the principles of Sustainable Development. These processes help us maintain ethical relationships with the people with whom we deal – our employees, our contracting parties, our communities, our neighbors (including ranchers and oil and gas drillers who work on our properties), our investors, and even our competition. Our Ethical Ecosystem sets the pattern for how we work, perform and live by our values through our People, Partnerships and Process Excellence.
