Rio Tinto Energy America's (RTEA) Compliance Program is made up of a Code of Conduct; a high level Compliance Officer charged with enforcing that code; a Speak-OUT Hotline for reporting violations and concerns in a confidential manner; a Compliance Team made up of the President and CEO and other officers of the Company who represent the legal, financial, human resources and health and safety functions of the Company; and an on line training program called the Legal Compliance Education Center(LCEC).
RTEA requires all employees to take part in the LCEC On-Line training program. The LCEC tests the understanding of legal principles and issues that govern work activities. All employees are responsible to take and understand those legal modules and to be aware of the legal and regulatory environment that impacts their individual jobs and geographic locations.
